When I was in high school around the years 2002 and 2003, my younger brother, Nic, and I were hired by Sandy to maintain her property while she was away for the summer. I had just gotten my driver's licence and $10/hour was a pretty big deal to us. Nic was in middle school at the time and both of us were competitive swimmers so the manual labor wasn't too tough despite the summer heat. We loved being outside on her Lake Dale property. If my memory serves me right, I recall crossing a little bridge to get out to the peninsula where the home was located. My brother and I would rake leaves, mow the lawn, skim the pool, and water Sandy's plants. I remember Sandy being a very kind and welcoming person and I'm happy to have this memory of her.
